Calmness & Confidence clinic

  • Quenda Glade Equestrian 65 Quenda Glade Gidgegannup, WA, 6083 Australia (map)

If you or your horse struggle with low confidence, stress or anxiety, this clinic will help you profoundly!

You will learn how to understand and develop the tools to help manage and overcome these obstacles. You DO NOT need to have a horse or bring a horse to reap the benefits from this event. Come along and learn how to build calmness, confidence, relaxation, body language skills and tons of brain training knowledge.

This clinic/workshop will:

  • have only 4 spots available for participants with a horse for $180 p/p

  • have 20 spots available for participants without a horse for $130 p/p

This structure may seem a little confusing because most people will be used to a "traditional" clinic set up where there are "participants" and "fence sitters". These clinics are VERY different and VERY unique. Whether you have a horse or you don't, you will be given a HUGE amount of knowledge and skills to take home to practice. EVERYONE will be a participant in this clinic, not just those who have horses.

For various reasons, a lot of horses can't get to clinics, but that doesn't mean that you can't learn just as much (and sometimes more, depending on your learning style) if you come without a horse. The ONLY difference between bringing a horse and not bringing a horse, is being able to apply what you have learned through the day with me there guiding you.

On the day:

Morning - I teach everyone in the classroom the easy-to-understand juicy science behind the brain and behaviour of horse and human, as well as ways to identify and manage the nervous system and stress to build calmness and confidence.

Mid morning - I demonstrate using a horse to teach everyone how to recognise subtle and not so subtle body language, how to destress the horse and build a "thinking mind" instead of a "reactive mind". This helps everyone to see the changes in the nervous system and the mind in front of their eyes as they happen.

Afternoon - You get to observe and practice these things on your horse with me guiding and supporting you both.

This non-ridden clinic is heavily orientated around teaching and creating calmness and relaxation for all the horses and humans that come. Leaving the home environment for the day is stressful all on its own for a horse, so having an experience where your horse can be in a new environment and be shown how to relax and be calm is hugely beneficial to their overall learning, self-confidence and your relationship.
